Academic Support

At one time or another, most students find they need an extra boost of support for their academic endeavors. Some students may be excelling but want to reach the next level of excellence. They want their political science research to be more substantive or their grasp of a physics theory to be that much deeper. Others may find they are struggling and need help to get and stay on track. Maybe the challenge is to organize a long-term history project, to write an engineering report with more clarity, or to understand an especially difficult math concept. Whatever the academic challenge is, Rutgers has a range of academic support services designed to meet the needs of each undergraduate. Help may come in the form of personalized, one-on-one tutoring sessions; online self-guided tutorials; academic support classes; and more often than not, just plain old-fashioned discussion with a professor or graduate student. Resources such as the Rutgers Learning Centers and the Math and Science Learning Center are staffed by professional staff as well as highly qualified student tutors who are ready to make learning at Rutgers a more enriching experience for undergraduates.
