The Center for Teaching Advancement & Assessment Research

The Center for Teaching Advancement and Assessment Research (CTAAR) serves students, faculty, and staff through workshops on innovations in teaching and faculty development, and support for assessment programs, instructional technologies, and faculty and staff information technologies. The center administers the Student Instructional Rating Survey through which students give end-of-semester feedback to their instructors and view reports generated by their responses at http://sirs.rutgers.edu/. Within the center, the Office of Enhanced Classroom Support maintains and upgrades all instructional equipment in classrooms at the New Brunswick Campus. The Office of Staff Computer Literacy and Consulting offers workshops to university staff, especially those supporting instruction. Special workshops and certificate programs for teaching assistants are offered through the Graduate School Teaching Assistant Project.
